FAQ
Local SEO questions, answered plainly
The questions owners ask us most often — about timelines, contracts, what we do each month, and what we refuse to promise.
General
Working with us
How long does local SEO take to work?
Profile and citation corrections often produce movement within four to eight weeks. Competitive rankings across a full service area typically take four to nine months of consistent work, depending on your market and starting position.
Do you require long contracts?
We ask for an initial term long enough to do the foundational work properly, then continue month to month. You own your website, domain, Google Business Profile and analytics at all times.
What size businesses do you work with?
Mostly owner-operated and small multi-location service businesses across North Jersey — contractors, medical and dental practices, professional services and local retail.
Do you work outside New Jersey?
Yes. Our home market is Bergen County, but the work translates anywhere local search matters. Most of our communication happens over video calls regardless of location.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No, and neither can anyone else honestly. We guarantee defined work, transparent reporting and a clear explanation of what is moving and what is not.
What happens on the free strategy call?
We look at your profile, your competitors and your current visibility together, then tell you the two or three things that would matter most. There is no obligation and no pitch deck.

About the work itself
How long before I see map pack movement?
Profiles with clear fixes — wrong category, missing services, no recent media — often shift within four to eight weeks. Competitive suburban markets with entrenched competitors typically take three to six months of consistent activity.
Do I need a storefront to rank?
No. Service-area businesses can rank without a public address, but the hidden-address setup changes how proximity works. We build the strategy around the addressless model rather than pretending it does not matter.
Will you need access to my profile?
Yes — we request manager access, never ownership. You keep the keys to your own listing, always.
Are more citations always better?
No. Two hundred low-quality listings do less than twenty relevant, well-maintained ones. We prioritize accuracy and relevance over raw count.
What if I have two locations?
Each location gets its own citation set and its own canonical data. Mixing them is one of the most common causes of suppressed listings.
Do citations still matter in 2026?
They matter less as a growth lever and more as a stability requirement. Inconsistent data actively hurts; clean data lets your other work perform.
Do you write or buy reviews?
Never. Incentivized and fabricated reviews violate platform terms and put your profile at risk of suspension. Everything we do is built on real customers describing real work.
Can you remove a bad review?
Only when it violates policy — spam, conflict of interest, off-topic content or a review left for the wrong business. Legitimate criticism gets a professional public response instead.
How many reviews do I actually need?
Enough to be credible against the businesses beside you in the map pack. In most suburban service markets that means matching or exceeding the median of your top three competitors, then never stopping.
