Seasonal SEO Planning for Home Service Businesses

Why seasonal content published on time outperforms year-round generic content, with a Northeast planning calendar.

April 14, 2026 · 7 min read

Seasonal businesses lose more revenue to timing than to competition. Pages need weeks to mature, so the work has to be done during the slow season, not the busy one.

Publish eight to twelve weeks early

Content needs time to be crawled, indexed and gain traction. Heating pages should be live in late summer; spring landscaping content should be live in February.

Keep pages permanent

Do not delete off-season pages. Update and re-promote them each year so they accumulate authority instead of restarting annually.

Shift profile activity with the season

Posts, photos and review prompts should reference current seasonal work. That keeps the profile relevant to what people are actually searching right now.
